Ten minutes a day, most days.
That's how voices change: small amounts, often, over months. Trans Voice Coach is a voice training app for trans women and transfeminine people: ten minutes of guided practice a day. It's private, and it all stays on your phone.
No account. No ads. No tracking. On iPhone after Android.
Every session has the same shape, so there's nothing to decide.
Press Start and it walks you through. Pause any time and pick it up later. Leave any time, and nothing breaks.
- 0:30 Read the passage The same short passage every day. It's how the app can tell, weeks later, what has moved.
- 1:30 Warm up Gentle, guided and unscored. Just follow along.
- 5:00 One exercise One thing at a time, with what to listen for and what to try when it isn't working.
- 2:00 Talk about something ordinary A prompt like "what did you have for lunch?" to carry it into real speech.
- 1:00 Cool down Let your voice settle, and see what moved today.
It starts with resonance, not pitch.
How bright or dark your voice sounds matters more to how it's heard than how high it is. Chasing pitch on your own is also how people strain their voices. So the course opens on resonance, and pitch comes third.
A new exercise arrives every couple of practised days. Every stage is introduced before it starts, and the whole library is readable from day one.
- 1 ResonanceHow bright or dark your voice sounds. 16 days
- 2 Vocal weightHow thick or thin the sound is. 10 days
- 3 PitchHow high or low your voice is. 10 days
- 4 IntonationHow your voice rises and falls as you talk. 10 days
- 5 ArticulationHow your tongue and lips shape the sounds. 10 days
- 6 BreathinessHow much air runs through your voice. 10 days
- 7 Vocal fryThe low crackle at the end of a sentence, and when to let it go. 10 days
See how far you've come, not how far there is to go.
Voice change is slow enough to be invisible day to day. Progress compares your pitch from your first week of readings with your latest, and keeps a calendar of the days you showed up.
If you choose, it keeps a recording of your first reading, so one day you can play it beside a new one. It never plays your voice unless you tap.
Your voice is yours. It stays on your phone.
It doesn't score your gender. An app can't tell you that.

Questions
Who is it for?
Trans women and transfeminine people who want to change how they sound. If you want a lighter, brighter voice, the course is built for that. It is for ages 16 and over.
How long until I notice a difference?
Most people notice something in the first few weeks of practising most days, and a real change over months. The app is built around small amounts, often, because that is what works.
Does it record me?
No, unless you ask it to. It listens while you practise and keeps only the numbers. If you choose to keep a recording of your first reading, it stays on your phone.
Is it free?
Yes. The daily practice is free, with no ads.
Does it work on iPhone?
Not yet. It is on Android now, in testing through Google Play, and an iPhone version comes next.
Should I start with pitch?
Usually not. Resonance, how bright or dark your voice sounds, does more for how your voice is heard, and chasing pitch on its own is how people strain. That is why the course starts with resonance and brings in pitch third.
